The LeverGuard™ Exterior Plate is a replacement exterior component designed specifically for the LeverGuard™ Lock System. It replaces the exterior FullGrip™ Handle with a low-profile, flat plate while maintaining the security and functionality of the LeverGuard lock.
Why Use the Exterior Plate?
The Exterior Plate is ideal for sliding patio doors equipped with an exterior insect screen door. Because it sits nearly flush with the door surface, it allows the screen door to glide freely without interfering with an exterior handle.
It is most commonly installed on the secondary operating panel where an exterior handle is unnecessary, while the primary active door retains the FullGrip™ Handle for everyday use.
A Simple Solution
If you originally purchased the LeverGuard™ Double Handle Kit and later discover that your screen door contacts the exterior handle, this plate provides an easy solution. Simply remove the exterior FullGrip™ Handle and install the LeverGuard™ Exterior Plate—no need to replace the entire lock assembly.
