What began as a personal quest to avoid broken nails and sore fingers has blossomed into an innovative solution that’s in the process of being patented—because nothing like it existed before, not even from the door manufacturers themselves. Today, Handle-Man offers a complete line of handles in various colors to match most door brands, along with lock repair and secondary lock systems for every door in your home.
A Message from Our Founder – Maria
“Shortly after purchasing our new home, I realized the sliding doors weren’t what I’d consider ‘user-friendly.’ Recessed handles only allowed me to use my fingertips, causing me to break fingernails and struggle with daily door operation. After countless searches at hardware stores and online, I came up empty-handed. That’s when I challenged my husband, a retired engineer, to design a better solution. It wasn’t easy, but his expertise paved the way for an innovative handle system that truly improved my life. Seeing how well it worked, we knew other homeowners needed this solution, and so Handle-Man was born.”

Founder & Visionary
Maria
Originally from Poland (arriving in the U.S. in 1989), Maria has spent much of her career in manufacturing, mastering process efficiencies and business management. After successfully running her own company for over 15 years, she sold it in 2016 and retired to sunny Florida with her husband, Bob.
It was here that Maria recognized a universal homeowner problem—difficult sliding glass doors—and turned it into a practical, life-enhancing solution with Handle-Man.

BOB
Born and raised in the midwest suburbs of Chicago, Bob boasts an extensive engineering career with 11 domestic and international patents to his name.
His expertise spans product design, manufacturing processes, and senior management roles. When Maria challenged him to fix her frustrating sliding door handles, his design savvy led to the unique, patent-pending system that underpins Handle-Man’s offerings.
